Revoicer App Review: AI Voice-Generator Text-To-Speech

Revoicer Review

The Revoicer app is a new AI voice generator that has taken the world by storm.

It has been hailed as a game-changer in the field of AI-generated voices, with its ability to create realistic and natural-sounding speech with emotions such as friendly, cheerful, sad, whispering, and more.

The technology behind the Revoicer app is based on a deep learning algorithm that has been trained on a massive dataset of human speech.

I used Revoicer for a short while. They were at the stage of adding folders to store and organize your files. That feature was only accessible as an upgrade which cost $37 a month back then.

In this Revoicer app review, you'll see that Revoicer is very good for creating human voiceovers that sound like real people.

You don't need to have a recording studio or recruit voice actors.

Revoicer App Review:
Are AI Voice Generators Realistic-Sounding?

The purpose of this Revoicer app is to provide you with a more natural and authentic voice for AI-powered systems. This technology has become increasingly important as more and more devices and systems rely on AI-generated speech.

Whether it is a smart assistant, a chatbot, or a virtual reality experience, the quality of the AI voice tone used can make a significant difference in the user experience and is a perfect addition to your AI voice generator arsenal.

One of the most significant advantages of Revoicer is its ability to generate speech in multiple languages. This is achieved by training the AI algorithm on vast amounts of data in different languages. As a result, Revoicer is capable of generating speech in 40+ languages. You can customize voice type, pitch, and speed.

Another significant advantage of Revoicer is its flexibility. Choose voices that are specific to certain industries or domains. For example, a financial services company could use Revoicer to generate a voice that sounds knowledgeable and authoritative, while a healthcare company could use it to create a voice that sounds caring and empathetic.

Revoicer generates speech audio files that are easy to download and include in sales videos, TV commercials, or documentary videos. Use the audio content in podcasts too.

Another great use for this text-to-speech tool is for use in explainer videos, product demos, and audiobooks. Yes, they say you can create audiobooks with them, but to me, that would be very labor-intensive.

It's quicker to read the dang book yourself. See this Review on Audiobooks Made Easy.

Create Podcast Intros and More with the Revoicer App

My reason for trying out Revoicer was to create high-quality podcast intros and use Revoicer's various emotions "voice generation" aspect to save time and money.

There are similar text-to-speech apps on the market, namely HumanTalk and HumanPal.

I also tried Speechelo but was very disappointed with it. I moved from the Revoicer app to one of the best apps out there: HumanTalk (with TextWriter). I changed apps because of their price and the ability to use the AI voices as a standalone (meaning without video) and because there are no monthly recurring fees.

I love "one-time lifetime" payments and Revoicer did offer a very competitive one-time payment on their website when I used it.

They also have a 60-day "no questions asked" money-back guarantee (which I took advantage of!) Ha. Again, I reneged on keeping this software due to the $ 37-a-month function (at that time!) for folder storage and accessibility.

According to "Big G Video" on YouTube, you pay a one-time fee of $67 with an option to upgrade to Revoicer Pro (that being a one-time fee/upgrade of $170 - or - $170 per year which computes to $14.16 per month). Pricing is pretty fluid - as it seems to be with all the new AI-based apps coming out of the woodwork.

Different Voices and Inflections

One of the most impressive features of the Revoicer app is its ability to generate speech with tone inflections, which is almost indistinguishable from human speech.

The quality of the voices generated by Revoicer is a significant improvement over previous AI-generated voices. In the past, AI-generated speech was often robotic and unnatural, which could be a turn-off for users.

However, with Revoicer, the speech sounds much more human-like, making it more engaging and enjoyable for users. Along with their human-sounding voices, their user-friendly interface makes it a fun app to use.

One potential application of Revoicer is in the entertainment industry. With Revoicer, it is possible to generate voices for virtual characters that sound almost indistinguishable from human actors.

This could be particularly useful for video games, where realistic and engaging characters are essential for a successful game. Please note, that I'm not talking about cloning famous actors' voices to be used in film.

Another potential application of Revoicer is in the field of education. With Revoicer, it is possible to generate voices for virtual tutors that can provide personalized instruction to students.

The ability to generate speech and customize the voice based on the context of the conversation could make virtual tutoring more effective and engaging for students.

Concern Over Fake Voices Used for Nefarious Reasons

There are, however, some potential drawbacks to the use of Revoicer (and other AI voice-maker apps, to be fair). One concern is that the technology could be used to create fake voices of celebrities that could be used for nefarious purposes.

For example, it could be used to create fake voice recordings of politicians or business leaders, which could be used to spread false information or manipulate markets. In order to do that, they would have to take voice samples of the famous person.

So, IMHO, I don't see any ramifications (other than what was stated above) in using Revoicer or any similar apps that create human voices. Use AI responsibly, please. Use the right tool for the right job when choosing speech software products.

Their website does state that "Revoicer is not meant to replace human voiceovers. Instead, it provides a scalable, time-saving and cost-efficient alternative."

I'll let you be the judge!

PROS

  • Revoicer has an affordable one-time lifetime payment.
  • Over 80 voices, and 40 languages.

CONS

  • None, aside from the upgrade to $37/mo for folder storage/access at my time of usage (late 2022).

COST factor
cheap $ - reasonable $$ - expensive $$$

$

ePubTechReviews rates Revoicer one dollar sign because of its one-time lifetime payment. But, as stated above, it could easily be a $$ deal due to the upgrades.
