Welcome to the Jasper AI and Art review where I pose the question, "Is Jasper better than ChatGPT?"
I discovered "Jasper" while surfing my Facebook wall; (is it still called 'a wall'?)
Anyway, I saw an ad, and I clicked.
It mesmerized me.
I had to buy it.
It is an amazing writing tool.
Please note in this review, I've included a lot of ChatGPT commentary for comparison.

We writers are looking for new ways to stay on top of our writing game. Working from home is commonplace and will stick, as companies discover employees get more work done at home. And there's less office gossip.
On the flip side, working from home takes away human interaction; it's hard to convey a message in words via email.
Jasper, ChatGPT, QuickWrite, and RankIQ to the rescue? Probably. I'm biased because I love working from home. I used to have a 50-minute commute each way. Hated it. My commute is now 50 seconds and saves a ton of gas money.
Back to this Jasper AI and Art review. It's an innovative writing tool designed to streamline and simplify the writing process. I signed up on the Starter plan - and moved up to the Pro Plan to take advantage of its unique features.
This AI-powered tool can help organizations and solopreneurs like you and I create high-quality content faster - and at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods. Meaning, there's no need to pay people to sit, research, and write their butts off anymore.
Jasper and ChatGPT do the research for you. But, and there's always
a but! Their "research" isn't up-to-date. Their search engine data results are 'collected' up to September 2021.
Jasper AI and Art offers a variety of features that make any writer nervous with fear, or excitement! Why? They may be afraid of losing their job, or think that bots are gonna take over.
The bots make
the task of
writing easier, including grammar and style checking, automated
content generation, and intelligent editing. On the positive side, Jasper can produce art.
Jasper can write
short-form content or long-form content. Just tell Jasper what you
want! Copywriting tools like Jasper (and ChatGPT by OpenAI) have created a
huge public demand.
Jasper AI assures us that the content it outputs is "original." But for those who don't believe everything they read, you can access the Copyscape plagiarism-checker through Jasper. A 1500-word doc cost me about 15 cents to scan.
I was writing a post about food dehydrating - one of the websites I have with Solo Build It! - and I had to laugh when Copyscape came up with "possible plagiarism" from my very own site.
I actually was comforted by the fact that even though Jasper claims to write "original content," anything "suspected as plagiarized" is listed.
ChatGPT is an AI-driven chatbot created by a team of engineers and developers at OpenAI, owned by Microsoft. It is a conversational AI that helps individuals and businesses interact with customers. Yep, that's what it was originally designed for.
But I use it differently: I create fictional stories with it.
The best part: the more oddball my character descriptions are, and the antics they get up to, the less fear I have of putting out duplicate content. That makes sense, right?
Jasper Chat is also an AI-driven chatbot that Jasper released. It acts as a conversational AI that helps businesses interact with customers, just like ChatGPT. They say it is best suited for customer service, marketing, and sales conversations - again - just like ChatGPT.
"It is powered by Microsoft’s Azure Cognitive Services platform and is capable of understanding complex conversations and responding to customer inquiries."
The key difference between ChatGPT and Jasper is the underlying AI platform that each is built on.
I must admit, ChatGPT created " slightly better" fictional stories (for me) than Jasper did. Click to check out this YouTube Video or click the image above.
The ChatGPT advantage may have been because I left previously created stories on the (same) page - it ended up being one heckuva long page!, and ChatGPT referenced them.
Inside Jasper, each story was a standalone file; therefore, it couldn't reference any previous stories. But Jasper beat ChatGPT hands down for templates, outlines, meta stuff, and its "Boss Mode" functionality. Honestly? Overall, Jasper just has more meat on the bones.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly popular and for good reason. AI offers a variety of benefits:
One of the most beneficial AI content generators for businesses is the Jasper AI Writing Tool.
This powerful AI tool can help us create higher-quality content faster, such as product descriptions, blog outlines, memos, and emails, and create a business plan, all more efficiently.
I'm exploring the various benefits of using the Jasper AI Writing Tool vs ChatGPT, trying to decide which is the better option for me, and how it can help businesses (tiny and titanic) achieve their content writing goals.
Jasper has the edge due to its templates and plagiarism checker (Copyscape, via credits you purchase).
Jasper AI and Art enables writers to create stunning, high-quality written content
and art quickly. It can rewrite stuff for you.
It also helps you to create more complex and interesting sentences by suggesting alternative words and phrases (if you go with the Pro Plan).
OK, in addition to its auto-rewrite capabilities, Jasper AI helps you write better content. For instance, it can suggest alternative topics, titles, or keywords to make your content more search engine-optimized.
Let me stress: that is so important. How important? Important enough for me to pony up for RankIQ.

Jasper can also create AI-generated images (see Jasper Art farther down this page) to enhance your content.
In short, Jasper AI has a
range of features that can help you improve your writing and make
your content more engaging and effective.

Getting Started
First, you will need to create an account with Jasper AI Writing Tool. This is free and requires only a few pieces of information. Once you have created an account, you will be able to access the tool and begin writing your document.
Creating Your Document
Once you have logged in, you'll see a page where you can begin typing directly into the text box or use the formatting options to customize your text. Jasper AI Writing Tool has a plethora of templates. You can also upload images, videos, and other media to your document.
Customizing Your Document
Once you
have finished typing your document, you can change text to be headlines, etc, and add links.
Another benefit of using Jasper is that it can help businesses produce content that is more tailored to their target audience. The tool can suggest topics and content ideas that are more likely to resonate with the target audience. This obviously improves the effectiveness of said content and helps to maximize their return on investment.
Using Jasper can help to reduce costs. The tool can automate many of the tasks associated with content creation so it reduces the need for additional staff or resources.
Bye-bye, humans?
Sorry. OK. This can help to keep costs down and make content creation more cost-effective. But humans are still needed to code the bots, right? Right.
In the image above, I'm using Jasper Focus mode. The difference between Focus and Power Mode is with Power Mode (down the left-hand side NOT shown here) you'll have access to templates and such.
Sometimes you don't want to be distracted by all that good stuff and that's where the Focus Mode comes into play.
The benefits of Jasper AI and Art are far-reaching. Use it wisely. Tailor your emails while generating content - whether it's a simple email or social media content for brand awareness.
Before I go, let's talk briefly about the cost of Jasper Art. It's not free, by the way. As of writing this (late February 2023, it costs $20 USD a month.
In the images below, I asked Jasper to create a "happy woman, on a tropical island, drinking a purple juice out of a glass."
Pretty neat, huh? (But I can do better with Midjourney, TBH).
They say, "Jasper Art is an AI-driven digital art program designed to help create art with ease." But knowing what you want to get out of it is key to me.
Learn to describe exactly what you want to see, and what style of output you want. Get good at it, otherwise, it's "garbage in, garbage out."
What if you're looking to create a book cover of a fake pottery pug dog with its best friend being a fuzzy pink dog toy? What? Yep, I needed that visual for my kiddie book called "The Adventures of Winston and Big-Bo" out now on Amazon Vella!
Jasper Art can apparently analyze photos and videos in order to create art that looks like it was created by a professional artist.
The Art part of it, IMHO is not that easy to use, but I was probably suffering from "information overload" as I was pitting Jasper and ChatGPT against each other while writing this. However, it does have a variety of features that help make creating art easier.
Overall, Jasper Art is a decent solution for those who need to generate high-quality images but don't have the time to create them or hire someone. I actually use and prefer Midjourney.
This is important to know: Jasper AI and Art create completely original, royalty-free images from a simple text input using the power of AI and machine learning.
So there you have it. My take on Jasper vs ChatGPT (with the help of Jasper, QuickWrite, and RankIQ).
Here are the links (yes, they are affiliate links, except for ChatGPT) and I thank you for using the links:
Jasper Introduces "Brand Memory"!
When you're typing away in Jasper and getting all kinds of good stuff via AI but it feels a little 'flat,' and you know it's missing pertinent information related to the company's content you're creating, you need to check out Jasper's new release!
They are releasing "Brand Memory" where you can ask Jasper to 'reference' related information (that you copy/paste from a company's website - that you're currently writing a post for) and upload that as a .docx as "product info," "company history," and "about."
Include ethics, morals, and values for "memories." How does your product differentiate from competitors, how much does it cost, etc.
Jasper will write the post using the related Brand Voice using accurate details gleaned from the "Brand Memories" you stored in Jasper. Only you are able to access this information, it's not used by anyone else using Jasper.

Did you know you can use Jasper directly on your blog/website? I'm sitting here typing, and I can see Jasper is ready to help me.
It works via a Chrome extension. This means I don't have to switch back and forth between Jasper and my SoloBuildIt website page!
Using a Jasper and RankIQ combo, Susan demonstrates how she created her blog post review about RankIQ. It’s a long video that shows you step-by-step how to achieve an A++ ranking in RankIQ and how to use Jasper’s blog post template (which was in beta at the time of recording). At the very end, I say "Subscribe so you won't miss out!" I'm referring to subscribing to my ePTR channel over at YouTube!
